RAP was founded in 1979 in answer to a community need for competent and constructive after school care. Through the generosity of the Roslyn Public School’s Board of Education, indoor and outdoor space was made available at the Heights Elementary School.

The program is private, non-profit and is licensed by New York State. The professional staff includes an executive director, state-certified director-teacher and teacher assistants.
